The purpose behind this program is to allow those individuals who have an interest in karting an opportunity to experience the excitement of driving a kart before they make a commitment to purchase the equipment and begin their racing hobby. Many popular drivers in practically all of automotive motorsports at one time raced karts. Karting is an inexpensive and economical way to enjoy motorsports on a local level. Encouraging fair play, camaraderie, competition and above all FUN!!!  Whether you decide to join us and just club race or you set your sights higher, Mid-State Kart Club can offer you a great place to start.

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:
The event is open to anyone 8 years of age and older. We can accommodate the first 60 people who register each day. We will provide the kart, the fuel, the track time and the safety equipment. You must wear long pants and closed toed shoes and socks. All of the karts meet or exceed the safety standards set forth by the World Karting Association (WKA). Safety checks on the equipment is done prior to the event and at set intervals during the event. The members of the club will assist you in putting on the safety equipment and give you some instruction on how the kart operates. After that, you will be sent out on to the track by yourself for 5 minutes. This program is not intended to be a concession ride but rather an avenue where prospective club members can experience driving a kart. This program is not a short term money maker for the club, but a long term commitment by the members to find new members to help the club grow. The $10 fee is the price for a one day insurance pass and will be good to use as a pit pass for the club racing event that follows the Arrive and Drive Program on the evening following the program.
Spectator parking and viewing are free. Food and drinks are available at our concession stand.
